Another fantastic busy month and more reasons to celebrate.
At the beginning of the month my book love confessions were released to the world on Jen’s Med’s Book Reviews Blog. Find out what books I have loved throughout my childhood, teens, young adulthood and now.
The Rainbow Centre, Wheeler Street, Hull, East Yorkshire; became a new stockist for my debut novel Isolation Junction and sold out of the first batch within days. I am delighted that they stock Isolation Junction because they have been a huge support to me over the years, its lovely that they continue to support me but in this different way.
It was lovely to have received this card and gift from the children’s centre and it certainly motivated me to continue on the journey I am taking with Isolation Junction and the next step.
I previously posted about being involved in the FADV survivor stories on the cards at the International Conference in Salt Lake City. The stories have now been published on their website, you can read mine here. I have spoken a few times on this blog about the FADV, you can see more on this dedicated post here.
I was thrilled to announce that I a became a finalist for the BizMums Inspirational Mum Award 2017. My hope is to raise awareness of this often hidden and unseen behaviour and empower women in abusive relationships to seek help for themselves and find the confidence to change their lives. Being a finalist it says to me that I am working towards my goal and on the right path. I look forward to joining the other inspirational finalists on the day and celebrating with everyone our achievements. You can read more about why I was nominated here.
I spoke about my debut novel and finalist status on Chat and Spin Radio a couple of time’s towards the end of July. It was a delight to have had the chance to answer questions on air as well.
I was featured on Kim’s lovely Mummy Review’s blog of which I have been a follower of hers for a few years now.
“I wanted to publish this post because Jennifer’s book is about an important topic that people need to be aware of – Domestic Violence. Hopefully this post will help spread the word about Isolation Junction.”
You can read her blog post here.
