Last week it was the week of #itsnotok which is the hashtag that represents Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness week and so I thought I would share some of what I got up to.
Monday I was invited to join in with BBC No Filter which airs on BBC Radio Humberside 7-9pm, I took the opportunity and was excited to meet Kofi Smiles who was the face of Hull for Capital of Culture 2017. Here’s a snippet from a part of the evening and with a link to listen to the whole interview below.

On this weeks @bbcnofilter @authorjennifergilmour shared her story about coercive control as part of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness week. For some conversations like this may come across as uncomfortable but we think it’s necessary. Link to the full conversation is in the comments. #ItsNotOk2019 #radio #bbc #toxicmasculinity
I had my FIRST EVER YouTube Premier, meaning that the video went live and people could watch at the same time and even chat throughout. This particular video is the first of the #AbuseTalk Interviews which are going to be live every first Wednesday 7.30pm GMT, which is half an hour before the #AbuseTalk Twitter chat. Kelly Smith was my first interviewee. The purpose of these interviews are to bring awareness to the job roles in the domestic abuse sector, finding out what its really like and to be able to ask the questions many have but may not get the answer.
Re-watch the first #AbuseTalk Interview here, you can always subscribe to my channel to be notified of uploads and premiers.
It was obvious that #AbuseTalk was going to incorporate the weeks theme so we run questions to link in with the subject on the usual Wednesday evening.
