I know its a monthly wrap up but I am wrapping up two months, I had a 3 week break end of July and into August. I am glad I had the break because I needed some time off to get refreshed, I wasn’t completely gone though because I had some lovely guest bloggers. Here are my highlights over the last two months for you all.

At the beginning of July the forum celebrated its one month birthday and I was so excited to release some statistics of Abuse Talk and the progress it had made already, check out the stats on that post here.

My YouTube channel opened and video’s started to come along. Subscribe so you don’t miss out, there is a weekly video on my thoughts and other videos on the work that I do. Subscribe here.

I was delighted to have an evening at Write Blend in Liverpool to talk about my publications and the work that I do. It was a return visit and I had many questions and queries to answer, a fantastic discussion.

Even though my Brave Me story was published in May, this image was new and I felt it had to be shared because it shows real people sharing their real experiences. You can read my Brave Me story here.

Find out what I got up to behind the scenes of my holiday and I collate all the guest blog posts together so you can check out what they had to share here.

As we entered August my family and I left Anna Maria Island after a week of holidaying and go onto our second part of our holiday I remember the reason we visited. To say goodbye to my father in law. It felt only right to leave a copy of both of my books on his bench for someone to enjoy.

That week I learnt the joy of the holidays that my husband has had in his life at this beautiful place. So many memories we take with us, smiles, laughter, fun and learning.

Until we meet again.

I was a guest for Read, Write, Inspire: The Stationary Geekette with a review of our new label printer in our house. This post is a bit of fun and its always nice to write something different. Check it out here.

I was invited to do the news review for the morning at BBC Radio Humberside with Phil White, I spoke about my work and reviewed the headlines from the newspapers. You can hear me from 1:20 and 1:40 hours/minutes in here (content available for a month).

I attended HEY Launch which was the first Hull and East Yorkshire Bloggers event by HEY Bloggers. It was my first bloggers event and first time meeting local bloggers, I was particularly excited about the latter. Find out what happened at the event here.

Don't miss out on any of my blog posts or book reviews by following my blog via the right hand column.

It’s incredible the amount you pack into each day – it’s awesome! What a lovely idea too that you left the books on your father-in-law’s bench. I love the idea of passing books on – the best thing about writing is knowing that someone might read your words now or in the future – books don’t have a shelf-life, so they once written they will be around forever! Well done for all you achieve :))
