March was a busy and exciting month, each month I seem to have many highlights I want to share with you. Here we go…

To start the month, I spoke at the Conference on Coercive Control in Liverpool about why I set up #AbuseTalk and the difference it is making. I was captured as I referenced Sam who took this photograph at the same moment. It was great to hear positive feedback about my talk and gain some new tweeters on #AbuseTalk. Meeting Min Grob was certainly a highlight for me as we have been tweeting for some time.

I was interviewed by the KCFM News Team about the hairdresser story that was in the national press, you can read the article here.

It was the second episode of the #AbuseTalk Interviews and with solicitor Lisa Pickering from Picasso Legal. We talked about legal aid/abuse in the family courts/magistrate judges/mediation and more.

You can watch the next one on Wednesday at 7.30pm on my YouTube Channel.

I was delighted to have been put in this collage of pictures of other woman in the area that have been involved with BBC No Filter.

I couldn’t believe when I first discovered that Kate had written a poem with me in mind, I felt overwhelmed. I never thought I would have made such an impression and I thank Kate for sharing this with me and her followers.

I wrote an article about Lucy Hall’s Social Media & Content Planner for The Creative Planner digital magazine, you can read the full article in the Spring edition here

I published a careful blog post on the link between domestic abuse and modern day slavery, I have left it open for both sides of the argument. Let me know what you think, read the full blog here.

Still rather excited about this Saturdays book signing at WHSmith at Hull Prospect Centre, if you are nearby or know someone who is then please do come along or invite. Check out the Facebook event here for more information.

I got rather excited when my Peter & Paul mug arrived, can you spot me?

I was so excited to receive my ID badge for The Hull Hub, it feels official now and its great to be a part of a lovely team.
