Today we have the 2nd online pop-up book shop on Facebook. Last year I hosted a first event just to see how it went and this year it was requested to take place again by a couple of authors, it must have been a success for them which is fantastic. Here we are on the 4th December with some of the authors returning and quite a few I haven’t featured in the event.

Its an event not to be missed because there will be fun, a chance to ask the author’s questions, info, behind the scenes and of course giveaways. Its a chance to stock up on books for Christmas, either to read yourself or as a gift for family and friends this year.

Meet the authors below and see the time they are taking over the event, times are in GMT:

Jennifer Gilmour

10am & closing at 9pm

Born in the North East, I am a young, married mum with three children. I am an entrepreneur, running a family business from my home-base. My debut novel, ‘Isolation Junction’ was published in 2016.

Since this publication I have continued to be an advocate for those in abusive relationships through my blog posts, radio interviews and Twitter feed.

In this, my second publication was released in October 2017; I have put together stories told to me by survivors of domestic abuse. In this way, I hope to give a voice to their experiences and to raise awareness of the types of unacceptable behaviour which fall into the category of domestic abuse.

Helen Pryke

Helen Pryke is a British author who has been living in Italy for 27 years. When she’s not writing or working as a freelance translator, she enjoys relaxing with her husband and two sons, and eating delicious Italian food. While she has adapted very well to life in Italy, she occasionally has a craving for cheddar cheese and Cadbury’s chocolate!
Walls of Silence was written during Helen’s stressful separation from her first husband, and was a way of putting into words all the feelings she’d been holding in for the previous 23 years. It is the emotional story of a young Sicilian girl’s fight against her family’s betrayal and the prejudices of her country. It is a story of abuse and desperation, but also of courage, strength and hope. Although set in the 1960s, it is still relevant to our times, and shows the harsh reality of abuse for many women.
