A guest post for you all today and something that I think is important at this time. I have made a commitment to my health to have a balanced diet and I exercise at least three times a week. I have lost 11 1/2 lbs so far this year and I am taking it nice and slow so that I can maintain the changes. I will be writing more about this in the near future.

Keeping up with your health is something that will benefit you greatly in the long run, and something was often forgotten in the hustle and bustle of day to day life. But how can you better your health from today? Well, don’t worry this article should give you some great ideas!

Healthy Eating is Essential

A key element to health and wellbeing is your diet. With some people, a regimented diet with a premade meal plan and nutritional values is the best way to adjust your diet quickly. This is not the only way you can diet, maybe you just want to remove the snacks from your life. The food on the go. Studies have shown that regimented times of eating, having the three main meals of the day at the same time every day really helps with weight loss. Combine that with removing the on the move food and snacks in between, and replacing them with nuts, fruit, and salad, will make you into a health and diet ninja!

Focus on the Right Routines

Every little thing you do is integral to your state of mind. If you feel you are struggling mentally, finding practices that keep you feeling at an even keel can be the best way to retain that balance in life. It doesn’t have to be anything spiritual, like meditation, even having that time at night to yourself with a book can be perfect “me time.” What happens after a while is that you start to be protective over this quality time, and the best way to do it with something like reading is to invest in it. Buy some womens reading glasses and carve out a time in your schedule to sink into a chair and drift away. These little routines and times for you will be something you crave after a while, and you will notice when you’ve not been able to do it. So protect this sacred time with your life, your mind will thank you!

I had a period of time struggling with a high pitch in my ear only to discover I had another wax build up. After waiting for a referral from the NHS to get it injected I found out that this service wasn’t provided anymore, I’m not sure if this was linked to Covid19 or not. I couldn’t stand the sleepless nights and headaches because of it, I realised that it is important to look after your ears.

Try Some Yoga as a form of Keeping the Body and Mind in Check

Why Yoga? Yoga can be a great way to mix both physical exercises with the power of mindfulness with one simple practice. Although it is not common knowledge, yoga is not just one fixed practice. There are multiple versions, like Hatha Yoga, and Vinyasa yoga. Both of them offer their own benefits and their own way of mixing mindfulness into a physiological method. So, hatha yoga vs vinyasa? That is a good question. It totally depends on what you are looking to get out of yoga. Both of these versions of the practice are based on different philosophies and laws of what the different moves

You would be surprised at how much yoga can help your body. It can stretch and make you more subtle. It will tone your muscles and also the atmosphere will make you and keep you relaxed, which is great for your mindfulness and mental wellbeing as well as your body!

Mental Health also affects physical health. It is shown to be effective that if you practice mindfulness techniques at the same time as physical exercise the results are faster and more noticeable. The reason being if you have a clean mind, your body will follow, but if you have a clouded and stressed mind, then also the body will follow suit. Yoga ticks both of those boxes, being a physical workout but also helping you clean your mind.

So, do any of these tips inspire you to use them in your day to day life? It can be hard to have a good work/life balance, but it is easier than you think to incorporate these tips and tricks on adding mindfulness to your day. Just find what works best for you, see how it impacts you in the long term, and then stick with it. These things work best when they are completed with consistency! Good luck!
